WaveLength - About Us
We give comfort, contact and companionship to people who are vulnerable, isolated and in need of practical support.
For over 70 years, WaveLength has helped those who need the comfort, contact and companionship that technology can bring into the home.
We challenge the root causes of loneliness and isolation, and represent our beneficiaries’ needs at a national level. Our expertise means we're invited to sit on advisory groups that influence government policy. But we're best known for providing televisions and radios for the people who rely on the contact they provide.
Today, televisions and radios are such a big part of life that it's easy to think everyone in the UK can have one. But our beneficiaries' incomes are too small to stretch to a TV or radio, as well as essentials like as food and heating. Confined to their homes for reasons out of their control, their severe health problems or impairments prevent them from taking an active part in their communities. For the isolated and lonely, televisions and radios are a lifeline and a primary point of connection to the outside world.

I would like to thank you all very much for the television. Before, I couldn't get Channel 4 very well - now I have a wonderful television. My eyesight is not good, so I have to sit quite close to the set. Thank you once again - I am at last very happy
