Wavelength - The Television and Radio Charity

How you might be able to support us

In the course of a year we support over 3,000 people with purchased and rented televisions and radios. We work with a wide range of organisations and individuals to try and contact as many people as possible who might benefit from our service.

There are many ways that people can support our work throughout the UK. Being a supporter does not necessarily mean making charity collections or providing donations, although these are very welcome. One of the most active ways is to pass on information about the charity to friends, colleagues, and potential beneficiaries. We are aiming to reach as many people as possible who might be able to benefit from our service, and our supporters can play a vital role by just talking to people. You can do this by:

• Hosting a coffee morning or lunch where people could learn more about WaveLength
• Providing a talk at a local club, association, WI meeting, or religious group meeting
• Helping with our simple application process. Individuals and family members are not allowed to apply on their own behalf and need someone independent to act as a referee. If you would like to support our work in this way please read our Guidance Notes and Application Form. This will explain our main criteria and what information needs to be provided.
• Raising funds for our work. You might like to hold a small event such as a cake/plant/book sale. If you feel more confident and are a member of an organisation that raises funds or donates to charities you might approach them to see if they would consider donating to our charity. You may also like to promote the Charity’s work as Charity of the Year in your work place or at your local school.

Most importantly, your support tells us that our work is valued and understood.
